About
For years, Claudia has described herself as “all stuff and no fluff.” She believes in living life truthfully.
At times, this has not been to her best advantage. She started out as a secretary and realized she wanted to do more. She returned to school and attended Bernard Baruch College in New York City and received her B.B.A in marketing. It soon became obvious that she needed an M.B.A to get into marketing. She attended Pace University at night, while working full time. She started her formal career in marketing in the beauty industry. She didn’t play office politics; and she often found herself battling to do what was right instead of what was expected. It was a roller coaster ride of successes and failures that led her to a life-changing decision. She was working in New York City on 9/11. A month later she found herself in the emergency room fearing she was having a heart attack. Thankfully, it was only a panic attack; but she realized life was too short. In November 2001, she danced out of corporate and never looked back.
Claudia didn’t know what was next, so for fun, she took a class on commercials for real people. She figured, “I’m a real people!” One thing led to another; and before she knew it, she was pursuing her childhood dream. She always wanted to be an actress. She was now being truthful to herself.
Then, the unexpected happened. she performed in a showcase; and there was an agent in the audience. He called her the next day; and they hit it off. She went on her first major audition for Law & Order; and she booked it! Since TV & Film were her heart’s desire, she tested the waters and took a trip to Los Angeles. She performed in front of agents and Casting Directors. Two agents were interested in representing her. She soon sold her home, left family and friends behind and moved to Los Angeles in February 2005. This, too, has been a roller coaster ride; but it’s different when you’re doing what you love to do.
She was in a place of transition; and needed to break free from the corporate mindset. She needed to develop and grow as an actress.
“Claudia DiMartino, who has studied with me for twelve years, is a joy to work with. Not only is she an actress of tremendous depth, she is also amazingly and bravely vulnerable permitting her to, as an artist, explore a wide range of possibilities for any character she tackles. Most importantly, Claudia is an actress that doesn’t just rely on her easily accessible schtick. She is an actress who, at every turn, seeks truth and growth in her work. That is an artist.”

She has seen successes in booking roles in both TV (Pink Collar Crimes, Major Crimes, The Middle, Jimmy Kimmel Live, General Hospital, Greek, Parenthood, and General Hospital Night Shift) and Film (Sizzle, Cradles for Cash, The Grievance Clause, Life Sentence, He’s Just Not That Into You and The Boston Strangler). She cried for joy when she was told she booked these roles; but it’s also been the actor’s lament of auditioning and disappointment.
Then, the unexpected happened again. Claudia discovered she was a storyteller and a writer. She wrote, produced and performed in her one-woman show, It’s Only Lipstick, which received rave reviews from both critics and audiences alike. She seamlessly performs 42 characters throughout the show which chronicles her life from growing up in an Italian-American family in Brooklyn, NY through her career and then finally the life-changing event that made her realize…It’s never too late to go after your dreams!”
Audiences were so inspired by her story she developed her blog sharing life stories designed to encourage and inspire with a little laughter along the way.
Claudia has come into her own. She’s fearless in expressing her no-nonsense approach to life. She’s unfiltered and funny, quirky and dramatic. Her truthfulness is seen, by many, as a breath of fresh air.
